Recovery and Results
After surgery, expect some swelling, bruising, and discomfort. Pain can be managed with prescribed painkillers and cold packs. A soft or liquid diet is recommended for a few days. Follow oral hygiene instructions to prevent infection.
Full recovery can take several weeks, during which normal activities and strenuous exercise should be avoided.
Final results become visible as swelling decreases, revealing a more proportionate and aesthetically pleasing lower jaw.
